Warmonger GOP Senator Sends Open Letter To Iran Attempting To Sabotage Negotiations

Freshman Senator from Arkansas, Tom Cotton, true to his personality had the unbridled nerve to pen an “Open Letter to the Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran” to let them know that if Congress does not approve of the Obama Administration’s deal, that it would merely be an “executive agreement between President Obama and Ayatollah Khamenei.”

This open letter was signed by Cotton, as well as the chamber’s entire party leadership including GOP Presidential hopefuls Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio.  This, in an effort to pressure the President into giving them input on the negotiations as well as discourage Khamenei from signing anything without the GOP having prior consent.

Other GOP Presidential hopefuls, like Rick Perry and Jeb Bush have made it publicly known that they do not support the President’s proposals.  Jeb Bush tells IsraelHayom.com:

I can’t tell you why he is doing this. I think that the important thing, as it relates to our process, is to have the U.S. Senate play a more engaged role and to have bipartisan consensus on what an agreement should look like. A future agreement has to be passed by the U.S. Senate, as any major treaty would. The president has said he was going to do this by executive order, which gives me great concern.

Tom Cotton, who wrote the open letter, was on CNN in January saying, “We have to be on the offense around the world and kill them over there before they have a chance to kill us here,” adding, “The threat around the world is as great as it’s ever been.”

On Morning Joe, he added, “The more we bomb, if we’re killing terrorists, the safer we are.”

At the Heritage Action for America Summit he called for a complete regime change in Iran.  Alan Grayson told Huffington Post, “Senator Cotton is already on his way to marking himself as the premiere warmonger of the 114th Congress. I think this is just the beginning of his efforts to see that we’re involved not just in one war or two wars, but perhaps 15 or 20 wars; that’s the way he’d like to see it.”
